What style of heel shall I wear with y bridesmaid dress? Please help! ?

Wedding dress shopping--with MIL?
My MIL had asked me if she could go dress shopping, I politely said no because although my MIL was going to be family soon, this was something so special that I needed to do only with my mom. I told her she could come to a fitting or two, and she said, "No, it's not the same at all. I have rights! I'm coming dress shopping!" in a really cold voice. Now, she doesn't have any daughters, so I know it would have been a nice thing, but I just wasn't comfortable with it. Lots of my friends have gone through this. My question is: Why don't MILs understand some things are private? Why is my MIL pushing this? We weren't even talking about the wedding at the time she'd asked. We were talking about our new apartment and she blurted it out AND they aren't paying for anything, if that somehow helps ALSO: The main reason I don't want to take her is my mom wants it to be just me and her, she doesn't like my MIL so I'm afraid that if MIL came my mom wouldn't be very happy with me... at all. She is also EXTREMELY opinionated. I let her come bridesmaids dress shopping and she hated every dress, but didn't say what she'd like to see the girls in.

Why do some brides have their bridesmaid dressed all tacky just because it's suppose to be "their day"?
If I were having a wedding ceromonie I would want my girls dressed in white and looking just as beautiful and fabulous as I am. Who cares if it's my big day. As far as I'm concerned you can meet your future mate anywhere....even at your friend's wedding so why not look just as beautiful as the bride? If I'm looking beautiful I want my girls to look just as beautiful so that maybe other marriage prospects will look at them as well. Who cares if it's my day. It's their day as well and if they're looking just as beautiful as I am then more than likely someone there is going to take interest in them. It's their day too, not just mine.

How do you lose weight fast without starving yourself?
Today is Sunday and my brother's wedding is on Friday. I need to lose like 5-10 lbs because my bridesmaid dress is too tight!! And it won't zip. How can I lose weight fast without starving myself?
