Trying on Wedding Dresses in Different Sizes?
I found a wedding dress one day while I was out "just looking" and I have been fixated on this dress ever since. The wedding is still 12 months away but I had planned on losing some more weight before trying on dresses. I am currently a US size 16 and shrinking every day, but the sample dress is a US size 12 (and I heard they typically run small). This dress that I love is considered a "couture" dress by Allure Bridals so I doubt there are bigger sample sizes in distribution. I also doubt that any self-respecting bridal shop is going to allow a size 16 girl like me to shove my way into a perfectly good size 12 bridal gown right there in the store (not that I'd want to). The dress is a modified A-line, not a super-skinny mermaid or anything like that, but still... What are my options here? Do I just need to wait until I lose enough weight to squeeze into what is probably a real-life size 10 gown, or is there other magic that can be worked? I've seen them clip too-small and too-big dresses on SYTTD, but I fear I am still too big for that. If there is a bigger size out there, how do I find it? Any suggestions?

I need information and advice from wedding planners on here?
Where did you get your education, did you go to college? I'm probably going to go to college, so what kind of courses do I need? One college offers hospitality and tourism and focuses on travel stuff. I really want to do weddings and parties. I don't know where to get enough experience, I've already volunteered at a bridal gown event helping brides with dresses. But I need more. I live in Washington state, so if you know of anything that'd be helpful in this state that'd be great. Do you work at home or for someone/company etc? Everything based off of this would be nice, thanks!

How would I be able to add sleeves to this dress?

So Since it has a train, I was thinking I could have a seamstress take off from the bottom of it (so that it has no train, just goes to the floor) and take that extra fabric to sew on sleeves (If its possible I can order an extra yard of the fabric)? I just need to know what style of sleeve would look good. prom dress ideas ! please help?
hiyaa so it is my prom soon and i'm not sure what dress to get. I wanted one made because my auntie has a dress in the colour that i want however it is long and i want a short one that is really puffy. I want alot changed to the dress for example it has short spaghetti straps and i would like either one shouldered or a halter neck, i want it cut mid way between the knee and the thigh so that it isn't too short and i want the shirt to be really big and really puffy and also i want some sort of design on the bodice which at the moment has nothing on. Another problem is that the skirt i want for the dress isn't the material that i want so i would have to have the skirt taken off and then another one sewn on it the material that i want but then the skirt and top would be different.
